Youth Advisory Group

What is the YAG?

The Youth Solutions Youth Advisory Group (YAG) is a voluntary group of young people aged 17 – 25 years. Each of the members are young people who study, work or spend their recreation time in the Macarthur region and are passionate about the area.

Interested in joining YAG? Click here or email yag@youthsolutions.com.au.

youth advisory groupThe Youth Advisory Group meets once a month to help identify issues facing young people and develop solutions and strategies to address these issues.

YAG members are also trained up as peer educators so they can assist Youth Solutions in delivering health promotion education workshops through the Peer Enrichment and Empowerment Project (PEEP).

With the support of the Youth Solutions team, the YAG also implement the community health promotion campaign, #whyichoose.

#whyichoose is a social media driven campaign which identifies tobacco smoking as an issue of concern for young people and aims to start a positive conversation about the benefits of not smoking or making safer decisions around smoking, such as cutting down or having a smoke-free home environment.

The YAG is not only incredibly valuable to Youth Solutions, but its members are wonderful representatives of young people in Macarthur.
