Immediate support is on offer through Anglicare, including assistance with financial strains or physical food items. Anglicare provides a range of services for people experiencing financial hardship or crisis and can assist with food parcels, vouchers, utility bills and household items or clothing. Assistance is based on individual assessment.

Emergency Relief services run from: Bondi, Campbelltown, Liverpool, Moss Vale, Mt Druitt, Parramatta, Penrith, Summer Hill and Wollongong. Anglicare also assist Anglican parishes at Broadway, Darlinghurt, Glenfield​, Glebe, Katoomba, and Richmond to run Emergency Relief services.

Southern Youth and Family Services (SYFS), is an independent, local community-based benevolent (charity) organisation in the Southern part of NSW. SYFS provides support and assistance to vulnerable, disadvantaged and homeless young people and those at risk of, disadvantage and homelessness. Emergency and crisis assistance for people experiencing disadvantage and homelessness in the Macarthur region. This assistance can take many forms and may include: help with electricity, telephone, advocacy and rental, referrals to brokerage service, clothing vouchers, hot breakfasts and lunches five days a week, from Monday to Friday and an evening meal on Wednesdays.

The purpose of Wesley Mission’s emergency relief program is to help people address immediate basic needs in times of financial crisis. Access to emergency relief is considered universal and is a safety net for people experiencing financial distress or hardship and who have limited means or resources to help them alleviate their financial crisis.

This support may include, but is not limited to, assistance to address immediate basic needs in times of financial crisis in the form of material or financial aid (eg food parcels, clothes, bedding, household items, vouchers for supermarket utilities or petrol).

No Interest Loans

The No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) makes no interest loans accessible to people on low incomes to purchase essential items and services.
