Safe Series

The SAFE Series includes a range of health education seminars, which are delivered to groups of young people, generally with assistance from a Peer Educator.

A Peer Educator is a trained youth volunteer who assists Youth Solutions to deliver seminars to their peers, making the content and activities more relatable to young people. For more information about Peer Educators: (insert link to PEEP program)

Each seminar in the SAFE Series aims to improve young people’s knowledge and skills relating to the particular topic area.

Party SAFE

Party SAFE, which is generally delivered with assistance from Peer Educator, focuses on developing knowledge and skills in young people to reduce drug and alcohol related harm and increase safe partying behaviours.

Sport SAFE

Sport SAFE, which is generally delivered with assistance from a Peer Educator, focuses on developing knowledge and skills in young sportspeople to reduce drug and alcohol related harm and increase safe sporting behaviours.

Cyber SAFE

Cyber SAFE, which is generally delivered with assistance from a Peer Educator, focuses on developing knowledge and skills in young people to increase safety when using social and online media and reduce cyberbullying. Cyber SAFE also explores the link between celebrations and online safety.

Quit SAFE – prevention seminar

The Quit SAFE prevention seminar, which is generally delivered with assistance from a Peer Educator, focuses on developing knowledge and skills in young people to prevent and reduce tobacco smoking and smoking-related harms.

Youth Solutions is also piloting the Quit SAFE cessation program – a series of workshops aimed at helping participants to start their journey to quit smoking. For more information about Quit SAFE cessation program, contact Youth Solutions on 02 4628 2319.

Youth Solutions also uses adapted versions of its SAFE Series seminars to deliver the drug and alcohol education components of Camden’s Drive 2 Stay Alive program and U Turn the Wheel programs in Camden, Wollondilly and Wingecarribee.
