Magic mushrooms

Definition:

Magic mushrooms (psilocybin) are a type of hallucinogenic drug.

As a hallucinogen, magic mushrooms cause the user to see, hear, smell, feel or experience things that are not really there.

There are different types of magic magic mushrooms, which look similar to ordinary mushrooms. Magic mushrooms also look similar to poisonous mushrooms.

The ingredient or chemical in magic mushrooms which gives them their hallucinogenic effect is called psilocybin. In its pure form, psilocybin is a white powder which can be made into tablets or capsules or can be dissolved. However, it is usually sold as dried mushrooms or in substances which are made from mushrooms.

Other nicknames for magic mushrooms include: mushies, shrooms.
