Back to all News Charity fun night raises $3886 for local youth service Posted on 18th Apr 2019 McDonald’s in Macarthur donate proceeds of 2019 Charity Fun Night to Youth Solutions ‘Thank you!’ is the message to the community from McDonald’s in Macarthur and local charity Youth Solutions, after a recent Charity Fun Night initiative raised $3886.13 to support the region’s young people. Macarthur and Wingecarribee youth drug and alcohol prevention and health promotion charity, Youth Solutions, was selected as the recipient for the McDonald’s initiative on 10 April, which saw 10% of all sales during an evening timeframe donated to the youth organisation. Youth Solutions Chief Executive Officer Geraldine Dean said the funds raised would greatly help the organisation to continue its important work. “A huge thank you to McDonald’s in Macarthur for supporting Youth Solutions with this fantastic initiative and a big thank you also to all the diners who got behind this Charity Fun Night,” Mrs Dean said. “Not only did the event raise great funds to support our work, but it also gave us the opportunity to further share our important youth drug and alcohol prevention work with our community.” “We want our young people to be resilient, well-supported members of the community and we want to help prevent them from experiencing drug and alcohol related harm and events like this really help us to do that.” Peter Meadows, Owner Operator of McDonald’s said “We are proud to support Youth Solutions and their great work.
