Back to all News Charity fun night to make a difference in young lives Posted on 3rd Apr 2019 McDonald’s in Macarthur selects Youth Solutions for 2019 Charity Fun Night The region’s largest employer of young people, McDonald’s in Macarthur, has proven its commitment to the demographic by selecting Youth Solutions as the recipient of its 2019 Charity Fun Night initiative. Youth Solutions, which is known for its important work with Macarthur and Wingecarribee’s youth population, will receive 10% of all sales made at the region’s McDonald’s stores on Wednesday 10 April 2019 between 3.00pm – 5.00pm at shopping centre restaurants, and 5.00pm – 7.00pm at restaurants. During this time, Youth Solutions volunteers will also be visiting the local restaurants to thank diners and share the charity’s important youth drug and alcohol prevention and health promotion work with the community. Youth Solutions Chief Executive Officer Geraldine Dean thanked McDonald’s in Macarthur for its support and commitment to young people. “We are thrilled to partner with McDonald’s in Macarthur for the 2019 Charity Fun Night initiative. We are very grateful that McDonald’s in Macarthur recognises the important work Youth Solutions does and we thank them for their support, which allows us to continue that work,” Mrs Dean said. “McDonald’s in Macarthur is a long-term supporter of Youth Solutions, is the largest employer of young people in the region and also has a large clientele of young people, so it is great to partner with an organisation that is so involved in our young people’s lives.” “We encourage the community to get behind the initiative and help raise much-needed funds for Youth Solutions, so that we are able to continue to invest in this community’s young people and provide them with the education, skills, resilience and support they need to be prevented from drug and alcohol related harm.” Peter Meadows, Owner Operator of McDonald’s said: “As part of our ongoing commitment to support the local community, we’re proud to play an active role in raising funds for Youth Solutions.
