McDonald’s in Macarthur 2021 Charity Fun Night raises $7,000 for Youth Solutions

Posted on 4th Jun 2021

Youth Solutions is celebrating a windfall of $7,000 thanks to the generosity of McDonald’s in Macarthur.

The charity, which focuses on drug and alcohol prevention, education and health promotion, was McDonald’s initial charity of choice for the 2021 Charity Fun Night held on Wednesday, May 26.

All 15 McDonald’s stores in Campbelltown and Camden pulled together to donate 10 per cent of sales during a two-hour period.

McDonald’s in Macarthur kickstarted the fundraising with a generous $2,000 donation. Sales on the day raised another $4,874.46, with McDonald’s in Macarthur stepping into round that figure up to $5,000 – contributing to a much-appreciated grand total of $7,000.

Youth Solutions CEO Geraldine Dean said she was overwhelmed by the generosity of McDonald’s in Macarthur and the Macarthur region community.

“Youth Solutions and McDonald’s in Macarthur are making a positive difference in the lives of young people,” Mrs Dean said.

“The funds raised on the night will not only allow us to expand our services, but also gave us a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of Youth Solutions and its work in the community.

“I sincerely thank everyone who decided to have McDonald’s on Wednesday and support Youth Solutions.”

McDonald’s owner/operator and local licensee Peter Meadows emphasised that McDonald’s in Macarthur welcomed the opportunity to support the local community.

“As a major employer of young people, we commend the work of Youth Solutions and we take pride in helping to provide support networks for the next generation,” Mr Meadows said.
