ChariTEA starts at home for Youth Solutions fundraiser

Posted on 13th March 2022

High tea raises funds to support programs for young people across the region

Youth Solutions’ annual high tea fundraising event late last month at Rydges Campbelltown took on a celebratory atmosphere as attendees enjoyed the freedom of going out, socialising – and making a difference in the lives of the region’s young people.

A much-appreciated $8,867 was raised at the 25 February event, which will support the delivery of Youth Solutions’ health education, health promotion, and drug and alcohol prevention programs for young people across the Macarthur and Wingecarribee regions.

Youth Solutions’ CEO Geraldine Dean said she was overwhelmed by the response to the charity’s first fundraiser of the year which had broken a fundraising drought caused by the pandemic.

“It was so lovely to host a face-to-face event with many of our supporters and raise funds to assist our work with local young people,” Mrs Dean said. “We’re beyond thrilled to announce the event raised $8800 for Youth Solutions, which is just amazing.”

“We appreciate everyone’s support and generosity especially after the challenging year we’ve all had.”

ChariTEA guests were treated to the stunning vocals of Camden songstress Leah Cassar, from Leah Cassar Voice Production, and an inspiring talk from local style queen Antoinette Stonham, of All About Style. MC Wendy White, of Sparkling Voices, ensured attendees felt right at home and the event moved along smoothly.

Mrs Dean said it was impossible to organise and put on a successful fundraiser without the invaluable support of local businesses and individuals.

Marsdens Law Group again stepped up to the plate as the Event sponsor.

Table sponsors were: Absolutely Fabulous Event Styling & Campbelltown Chair & Party Hire, Bella Arts, Campbelltown Catholic Club, CharBella Cakes, Family Focus Legal, Hamper Culture – Gifting Studio, Kelly+Partners Chartered Accountants, MatchWorks, Rotary Club of Macarthur Sunrise Inc., Symphony’s on Argyle and Wests Group Macarthur.

Businesses and individuals who donated prizes and services included: Eaton Cakes & Catering, Elegance Nail Spa & Beauty Salon, Kerry Partridge, Styling Wild and TLD Logistics P/L.

“Together, we really do make a difference,” Mrs Dean said.
