Youth Solutions event a winner for the local community
Youth Solutions’ 2024 Charity Golf Day nudged the record books for second year with 90 golfers teeing off recently to raise funds to support local young people.
The event, held on Friday 1 November on the spectacular fairways of Campbelltown Golf Club, raised more than $13,000; funds that will be invested into delivering drug and alcohol prevention, health promotion and wellbeing programs in the Macarthur and Wingecarribee regions. The education and support services of Youth Solutions aim to build skills, knowledge and connections to keep young people healthy, safe and prevented from drug and alcohol harm.
Event host partners, Rise Above Foundation, headed up by Cr Josh Cotter and Jessica Cotter and Macarthur United Real Estate, led by Jake and Kara Alchin, once again proved heavyweights in rallying support for the Charity Golf Day and ensuring bumper funds were raised.

Youth Solutions Chief Executive Officer Geraldine Dean was overwhelmed by the success of the day.
“Once again, our community has stepped up for our local young and we are just so grateful,” Mrs Dean said.
“The Charity Golf Day is our final fundraising event for the 2024 year, and its success often dictates how we move into the new year in terms of program delivery, campaigns and outreach work. The Youth Solutions team works so hard to have a positive impact on young people and always has big plans. But the truth is we need the funds to realise those plans. The success of this event guarantees we can move forward and deliver our programs with integrity and achieve meaningful outcomes for young people. We can’t express our thanks enough to our host partners, hole sponsors and supporters on the day.”
Youth Solutions Manager Marketing & Engagement Amanda Dillon, who headed up the event, reiterated her appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the 2024 Charity Golf Day.
“Putting an event together like this is a team effort, from our host partners, sponsors and prize donors to the golfers who gave up their time to support us and the volunteers who leant a hand. While the day is about having fun, it’s also about people coming together to support their wider community. Youth Solutions’ critical work with young people is only possible because you, our supporters, believe in us and back us. That also sends such a powerful message to young people in our community; that we have all these wonderful people and businesses who are keen to support you.
