Youth Solutions 2019 Annual Charity Event raises over $53,000

Youth Solutions’ Land of Make Believe Annual Charity Event has garnered a magical result, raising over $53,000 to support its youth health, wellbeing and drug and alcohol prevention programs.

The Macarthur and Wingecarribee charity hosted its Annual Charity Event at The Cube, Campbelltown Catholic Club, on Saturday, 27 July, to raise the record funds in support of its work with the region’s young people.

Clad in fairy-tale-inspired costumes, 450 guests celebrated the local youth service, digging deep for its cause. Entertained by party band Planet Groove and Leah Cassar Voice Productions, guests rocked the dancefloor, celebrated the event’s generous sponsors and took home a lasting message about the importance of supporting, educating and building up our young people.

Youth Solutions Chief Executive Officer Geraldine Dean said she was blown away by the result of the event and the generosity of the community.

“We’re so thrilled with the result of this year’s Annual Charity Event and we’d like to thank everyone who was involved, including the event sponsors, donors and attendees. Special thanks to our Diamond Sponsor, The Rotary Club of Narellan and our Ruby Sponsors, AGL and Macarthur Square, as well as all of our amazing Quartz Sponsors,” Mrs Dean said.

“It’s incredibly humbling to have such fantastic support from our local community and beyond our thanks, our message to our wonderful supporters is that your support truly does make a difference in the lives of our young people.”

“Your support helps us to reach more young people with our drug and alcohol education and prevention programs. It helps us to support more young people. It helps us to link more young people to the services and help they need. It helps us to invest back in our young people and ensure that we, as a community, are doing all we can to build up our young people and prevent them from drug and alcohol related harm.”

“At Youth Solutions, we are very aware that we are just one cog in the wheel for providing our young people with a positive path. It truly takes a community to keep our young people healthy, safe and connected and the support of our local community, businesses and organisations is the key to making a difference.”

Mrs Dean also thanked the Youth Solutions Board, Fundraising Committee, volunteers and team for their ongoing support and commitment to Youth Solutions and the 2019 Charity Event.
