McDonald’s Charity Fun Night a winner for youth

Posted on 19th March 2024

McDonald’s in Macarthur event contributes $5386 in support of Youth Solutions’ programs

McDonald’s in Macarthur has served up an incredible $5386 in support of local youth charity, Youth Solutions, and its drug and alcohol prevention programs.

The Macarthur and Wingecarribee youth service was the grateful beneficiary of a McDonald’s in Macarthur Charity Fun Night held on Wednesday, 13 March.

The evening saw a percentage of sales from 16 local restaurants donated to Youth Solutions to assist with its drug and alcohol prevention and education programs in the region. The Charity Fun Night also showcases a long-standing partnership between McDonald’s in Macarthur and Youth Solutions, with both organisations working together for many years to support local young people.

Youth Solutions Chief Executive Officer Geraldine Dean said the charity was overwhelmed by the generosity of McDonald’s in Macarthur and the community.

Youth Solutions relies on the support of the community and organisations like McDonald’s in Macarthur to continue to deliver our drug and alcohol prevention programs and campaigns to support our young people,” Mrs Dean said.

“There’s growing demand for our work and services. We know how pivotal it is for us be delivering our tailored, evidence-informed education programs to make a positive impact on as many young people as we can. The support of the community and organisations like McDonald’s in Macarthur takes some of the pressure off us and allow us to focus on the job at hand. We are so grateful.”

Local licensee Peter Meadows said McDonald’s in Macarthur welcomed the opportunity to support local young people and was proud of the 2024 Charity Fun Night result.

“We share Youth Solutions’ passion for supporting young people. We are the largest youth employer in the Macarthur region and also connect with many young customers – we appreciate the difference our support can make,” Mr Meadows said.

The participating restaurants included Narellan Town Centre, Macarthur Square, Campbelltown, Minto, Glenquarie, Woodbine, Mt Annan, Eagle Vale, Narellan, Rosemeadow, Camden, Gregory Hills, Spring Farm, Emerald Hills, Oran Park and Ingleburn.
