After careful consultation with our Board and Fundraising Committee, Youth Solutions has made the difficult decision to postpone our 2021 Annual Charity Event from Saturday, 31 July 2021 to Saturday, 30 October 2021.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to have impact, we feel this decision is necessary in order to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our supporters, our team, volunteers, young people and the wider community during this time.
Youth Solutions is delighted the event will still be hosted in 2021, securing Saturday, 30 October 2021 at The Cube, Campbelltown Catholic Club for the celebration. We’d like to particularly thank the Campbelltown Catholic Club and its teams for their support, flexibility and understanding in relation to this matter. We’d also like to thank all of the businesses, organisations and individuals who support our Charity Event each year.
This last year has been one of great challenges for many of our young people and the need for our programs is evident. Now more than ever, our young people need access to our health education and drug and alcohol harm prevention programs. In particular, recent research shows that more people are experiencing mental health issues and are consuming more alcohol than before, as a result of the impact of COVID-19.
For us at Youth Solutions, this highlights the need to be engaging and connecting with, educating and supporting our young people so that we can help them to be healthy and safe. It is with the support of our community, that we are able to carry out this important work during these times. As we plan for the 2021 Charity Event your support will be more important than ever to Youth Solutions, to help us continue our important work with our region’s young people.
